OMG Today Was CRAZY!!!

So like, today I discovered this ancient website template from 1998 and I'm OBSESSED!!! The pink static background reminds me of late night TV when the stations went off air. Remember that? No? Well, trust me it was a vibe.

Had the most epic sleepover last night! We watched movies until 3am and played truth or dare. Sarah dared me to call my crush but the line was busy (thank GOD). We also tried to summon spirits with a ouija board but all we got was the cat walking across it lmaooo.

Thoughts on Digital Nostalgia

There's something magical about recreating the early web. When everything was personal websites and GeoCities, before social media algorithmic hell. When you had to actually SEARCH for cool stuff instead of having it fed to you.

> Loading memories... > Dial-up connection established > Downloading at 56k... > "You've got mail!" > ICQ: "Uh oh!" > Waiting for images to load pixel by pixel > The sound of modems handshaking > When websites had visitor counters > Frames, tables, and <blink> tags > Web rings connecting strangers > Personal shrines to fandoms > ASCII art signatures > MIDI background music > "Best viewed in Netscape" > Under construction GIFs everywhere

Sometimes I wonder if we lost something when the web became "professional." Like, sure, modern sites are faster and prettier, but remember when every site was someone's personal creative expression? When you could tell someone made it themselves with love and terrible HTML?
