A CSS Art Exhibition for Dev.to Tool Day Challenge

Fire Control

The mastery of fire represents humanity's first great technological leap, enabling cooking, warmth, protection, and eventually metallurgy. This revolutionary tool transformed human civilization approximately 1.7 million years ago.

The Wheel

Invented around 3500 BCE, the wheel revolutionized transportation, pottery making, and mechanical engineering. This circular marvel became the foundation for countless machines and transformed human mobility forever.

The Lever

One of the six classical simple machines, the lever multiplies force and enables humans to move objects far beyond their natural strength. Archimedes famously said, "Give me a lever long enough and I shall move the world."

The Knife

Dating back 2.5 million years, the knife represents humanity's oldest tool technology. Essential for hunting, food preparation, and crafting, it remains fundamentally unchanged in its basic design and purpose.

The Printing Press

Gutenberg's printing press (1440 CE) democratized knowledge, sparked the Renaissance, and enabled mass literacy. This information revolution tool transformed human communication and learning forever.
